Set how long the simulation runs and how often results are calculated and saved.

Time analysis mode (Steady state or EPS)
Choose whether to run a single snapshot or a time-varying simulation.
Total duration (hh:mm)
The length of the simulation. For EPS, this is typically 24–48 hours so tanks, pumps, and controls complete a full cycle.
Hydraulic time step (hh:mm)
How often the hydraulic state of the network is recalculated. Smaller steps capture faster system changes but increase run time.
Reporting time step (hh:mm)
How often results are written to the outputs.
Pattern time step (hh:mm)
The interval between demand (and other) pattern values.
Typically the hydraulic, reporting and pattern time step are set to the same duration.
