Accelerating the future of hydraulic modeling
Section titled “Accelerating the future of hydraulic modeling”At epanet-js, we are on a mission to democratize the use of hydraulic models in the water sector. We are a bootstrapped team building open, accessible, and high-performance tools.
To accelerate this vision, we have launched the Founding Partnership Program. This initiative invites consolidated industry leaders to provide economic support for the application’s development in exchange for strategic benefits and governance opportunities.
What Founding Partners receive
Section titled “What Founding Partners receive”By aligning with Iterating, the creators of epanet-js, your organization moves from a passive user to an active stakeholder, and one that also supports open tools that benefit the entire water sector ecosystem.
- Strategic influence and direct access: Founding Partners receive ongoing access to the Iterating Inc. product team via monthly product calls and a private Slack channel, providing a structured way to share feedback, highlight priorities, and help guide what we build next.
- Early access: Founding Partners are given early access to new features as they are released, including the opportunity to test and provide feedback before broader rollout where practical.
- Unlimited Pro access: Founding Partners are allocated unlimited epanet-js Pro licenses for the duration of the partnership term, for use within their organization, or by others involved in specific projects as agreed.
- Visibility: the Founding Partner’s logo placed on the epanet-js application welcome screen, homepage, and monthly newsletters, currently reaching 3,000+ active users.
Optimatics
Section titled “Optimatics”We are proud to have Optimatics, a leading provider of optimization solutions, as an inaugural Founding Partner.
Recognizing the shift in the hydraulic modeling market, Optimatics chose to partner with us to drive efficiency for their users.

Affinity Water
Section titled “Affinity Water”Affinity Water, the UK’s largest water-only supplier, joined as our second Founding Partner.
They bring a lot of practical operational experience to the table, and they’re working closely with us to pressure-test new features and guide the roadmap so it works for real-world utility planning.
A big part of this partnership is a shared focus on social impact. By backing a web-based, open-source tool, Affinity Water is helping improve access to engineering software in regions where there are fewer options.
AtkinsRéalis
Section titled “AtkinsRéalis”AtkinsRéalis became our third Founding Partner.
As one of the largest engineering consultancies in the world, they bring perspective from large-scale projects and complex digital workflows. Their input will help us make sure epanet-js holds up under the most demanding real-world applications.
Having a major global consultancy back the project is another sign that the industry is moving toward more open, accessible hydraulic modeling.
